Bear Claw

Sharp, versatile and compact are all characteristics of a knife called the Bear Claw. It is produced by Columbia River Knife and Tool and designed by Russ Kommer. The original design of this knife was a successful attempt to equip women with a light and effective method of self-defense. The Bear Claw has been defined as a cutting machine, and that is exactly what it is. The knife comes in razor sharp or a triple-point serrated blade with a teardrop tip, which is perfect for medical personnel or law-enforcement. This tool is made of AUS-6 stainless steel to protect it from natures elements. Friction slots are strategically placed at several locations on the blade. It has an optimal grip handle for safety and control of the knifes blade. The Bear Claw itself weighs in at 2.9 ounces and the hardened Zytel sheath weighs 1 ounce. The Zytel handle is perfectly formed to fit into the human hand. The large finger hole both help the knife feel as though it is an expansion of the hand using it.This knife has proven useful during activities such as, fishing, a rope working course, camping and rockclimbing in Austin.
