The Sam Houston State University Fashion Merchandising Club will host a fashion show allowing audience members to step back in time for a night.The club is hosting the “Victorian Lady Fashion Show,” that will be presented by J’Nean Henderson and Kim Sesher of the Victorian Lady Shop in League City. The show is a living history of fashions and customs of the Victorian lady. Henderson’s collection includes fashions from 1854-1912.Using a model, Henderson will demonstrate how a Victorian lady dressed from her corset to her shoes. She will also explain how parasols and fans were used to deliver messages to admirers.The Fashion Merchandising Club is an organization for Fashion Merchandising majors and minors. The proceeds from the show will be used to fund the club’s student activities, which help students to enhance their business skills through activities, projects and trips.President of the club Dana Vuelvas said the fashion merchandising students study a variety of courses, including business, marketing and management. She also said upon graduation, students may choose from careers such as production, design, product development or purchasing for stores.The show will be held at the Katy and E.
