Dear Editor,
I’m a University of Montana alum who has good wishes for your Bearkat football team.
The final score of the game against my beloved Grizzlies doesn’t really demonstrate the quality of play your team showed. What a solid defense! And now your team knows why Montana’s stadium has such a storied reputation.
But the real reason I’m writing is that I crave a Bearkat win over a Div. I-A opponent this week. And I think y’all have a good chance against Baylor.
I’ll be honest, I don’t even know what the hell a bearkat (with a “k”?) is, but I sure hope the Bearkats beat the snot out of the Baylor club! Get out there and show those I-A snobs that the I-AA schools will give ’em all they can handle and then some!
