Kill Bill: What do you mean you haven’t seen it?
It’s the fourth film from Quentin Tarantino, with his fifth arriving in February 2004. Kill Bill is nothing less than another Tarantino masterpiece, something that is cinematographically unpredictable and outrageously over the top. Uma Thurman plays an assassin, whose name remains a mystery in the film, who seeks revenge on Bill (David Carradine) and the assassins he sent to kill her on the day of her wedding. Shot in the style of the Chinese martial arts films of the 1970’s, Kill Bill captures the philosophy of the samurai and the consequences of revenge. Beginning with the quote “Revenge is a dish best served cold” from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Tarantino smashes into the story with hyper Kung-Fu action that last until the very end. With femme fatales, swords, and enough blood to fill Bowers Stadium, Kill Bill is a must see for any Tarantino fan.
