Zeta Phi Beta to hold “Finer Womanhood Week”

Zeta Phi Beta is holding “Finer Womanhood Week” this week to promote its organization and to hold up the ideal of finer womanhood.On Monday, members held a makeover seminar. A Mary Kay expert and an expert on fashion gave different tips on a woman’s makeover. They also gave away free cake and punch.Today, the group is holding “Mr. And Mrs. Black Positive Program” in Frels 214 at 4 p.m.On Wednesday, Zeta Phi Beta will hold the “Whole Lot of Laughs Olympics” at Intramural Field #3 at 3 p.m. Teams will compete in funny field day activities. The entry fee is $5 per team. Teams will consist of five people and anyone is invited to enter a team.Thursday, they are holding the second annual “Battle of the Letters.” This is a Greek step-off/strut-off competition. This event will be held at the small Walker Country Fairgrounds at 11:20 a.m. There will be a party immediately afterwards. Pre-sale tickets are available this week.Friday, Zeta Phi Beta will hold “Deliver a Miracle to Stork’s Nest.” Sheree Harris, president of Zeta Phi Beta, said that this is a national program to assist unwed mothers with baby items. They will collect items throughout the week.Harris said that any donations are welcome, and they need everything from rattlers to diapers. Donations can be given to any Zeta Phi Beta member, and they will also have a table set up by Lee Drain throughout the week.Harris said that she hopes everyone will come out and support them.
