The Ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. have always held a variety of social, political and educational programs for SHSU students and the Huntsville community. However, of all the programs, there is one event like no other. The annual Homecoming Greek Show will take place on Nov. 9, 2001.The Homecoming Greek Show’s long-time tradition attracts people, not only from SHSU and Huntsville, but from all over Texas. There are always people of all ages and backgrounds that attend. The Greek Show is one of the largest and most exciting events during the homecoming weekend. This year, Delta Sigma Theta has added a twist to the entertainment by providing a concert. The step performances, after party and concert will be included in the ticket price. The concert includes performances by Houston’s own rap group Wossness, featuring Big Pokey, Hawk, Cotton Mouth, Big Mello, and E.S.G. The Greek Show will be held at the Mance Park Middle School Auditorium on Avenue J. The doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m. The after party will be held at the Walker County Fairgrounds and will begin immediately following the step show. Tickets to the Greek Show are currently on sale in the mall area from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets may be purchased from any member of the organization.
