Who are you?Well, Im a Christian and I am the product of people from East Texas. Im a person who is passionate about music making and is very fortunate to work with college students five out of seven days, doing what I love to do most, which is choral music. I am a husband, and I hope to be a father some day. I received my undergraduate from this school and have been privileged to study at other great schools as well. What dream are you striving to fulfill?I want to the finest conductor that I can possibly become, whatever level it takes me to, whether its to continue forever in collegiate music making or in addition to that working in a professional choral. To be a great conductor. Worst mistake you ever made?I think not realizing early enough that I could really do anything that I wanted to.What are your pet projects?I really dont have time for hobbies much. My wife and I are trying to find a home or build a home. So that is sort of our Sunday afternoon, looking at homes and talking to builders. Thats our project right now.Who is your inspiration?I guess the man with who I did my graduate degree, Donald Neuen. He is a very inspiring person on many levels. What do you want to be remembered for?I would like to be remembered as a man who walked with God, and a man who made the lives of other people a lot richer. What piece of music moves you the most emotionally?”The Finale, the 4th Movement of Beethovens 9th Symphony.”
