People, people, people! I’m sure everyone is aware of the four-way stop near the coliseum and the HKC. Fellow classmates, can you please learn how to drive correctly?I know I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, driving and all, but at least I know how to conduct myself at a four-way stop!Every morning, someone almost always gets hit. Do people not know when to go when they hit that little white line before the stop sign?Just because you rolled up before me and were still rolling when I stopped doesn’t give you the right-of-way to go forward. Wait your turn!According to my knowledge, a driver that is approaching an intersection should yield the right-of-way to traffic already in the intersection. Don’t just count 1-2-3 and go when you feel like it.Did you people get your driver’s license out of a Cracker Jack box?It states on an Online Guide for Student Drivers Rules of the Road, that if drivers are approaching an intersection from opposite directions, the driver turning left must yield to approaching traffic going straight or turning right. It also states that if two drivers at an intersection that arrived at the same time at a right angle, the driver on the left must yield the right-of-way. I say people, because it’s not only students that drive bad. I’m directing this editorial to all drivers. Here’s just a good reminder for everyone: when driving, if you’re trying not to be the subject of an accident, assume the vehicle coming towards you is being driven by an idiot.Like the Online Guide stated, a lot of accidents happen because of inattentiveness on the part of one driver.Just remember when driving around here, to keep your foot on the brake pedal!
