The editorial page of the Houstonian the last couple of weeks has been a disgrace. I think it is time for the editor to grow up.
You took the time to point out that everyone makes mistakes and then printed letters with misspellings and grammatical errors to prove your point. The problem with that was as a journalist and the editor of the university newspaper you are held to a higher standard than other students.
Get your staff out there and find out what issues concern Bearkat students and print stories about those concerns. Don’t journalists have to find stories sometimes? Fewer AP articles would be nice. Surely there is more going on at SHSU that can be reported on.
It’s time to quit acting like you are still in high school. In fact, my daughter’s high school paper puts the Houstonian to shame.
