The name and word Kooter brings chills down my spine. It sounds as if we are going to become the Hillbillies in the near future. It is a frightening thought. We will become the Hicks everyone already thinks we are. Could we have stayed away from these terms? I know some people like it, and that is ok for them, I just do not want to be considered a hillbilly by rival schools. I think many potential students will also be driven away from such a term, making them believe that all of Huntsville is a backwoods town.
