Huntsville citizens looking for a place to hang out away from the club atmosphere can look to the sports bar and grill Quarters for a place to go without the fuss.
Quarters houses two separate rooms with two different atmospheres. Both rooms are decorated with sports paraphernalia that any sports fan would enjoy, paying homage to those who have made a difference in the sports world.
“I like going to Quarters because it’s so laid-back,” Elena Perez said. “I go to just hang out, talk with friends, and have a good time.”
In addition to the atmosphere, Quarters also entertains. It has 14 televisions throughout the establishment and visitors can compete in trivia contests for free while enjoying the bar. The highest scorer of a game could win free food.
Quarters also has seven pool tables, a full wet bar and beer on tap.
In addition to offering a full bar, Quarters also has a dining menu of 16 various items. Entrees such as steaks, shrimps, hamburgers and buffalo wings are served daily.
“Quarters is a place you can sit down with a friend and have a good conversation,” said Ed De la Garza, owner.
Quarters offers daily drink specials throughout the week. Twenty-five cent specialty drinks are served from 7-9 p.m. and $1.75 drinks are served from 9-11 p.m.
“Their drink specials are great,” Perez said. “You don’t have to have much money to have a good time.”
Quarters is located at 1632 Sam Houston Ave. across from Subway. It is open from 2 p.m. to midnight, Sunday through Friday and 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday.
