The President’s Office will host a team tryout on Tuesday (Nov. 8), at 3 p.m. in the LSC Theater to select two teams that will compete against Ken Jennings on Nov. 15.
The all-time record holding Jeopardy! champion will be visiting Sam Houston State University to address the university and “challenge” the students to test their trivia knowledge. Ken Jennings is the next lecturer in the President’s Speaker Series next Tuesday, Nov. 15 at the Criminal Justice Center’s Killinger Auditorium at 11 a.m.
After appearing on Jeopardy! over 70 times and winning more than $2,500,000, Jennings has become a national celebrity. He made history as the “All-Time Top TV Game Show Winner in the World.”
Jennings grew up watching Jeopardy! at the US Armed Forces TV network in South Korea.
Jennings graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in computer science and English and has an International diploma at Seoul Foreign School. He currently writes questions and edits the literature and mythology categories for the National Academic Quiz Tournament organization.
After his lecture, Jennings will compete against two groups of students and faculty members at the LSC Theater at 2 p.m.
