The Newton Gresham Library will teach professors the basics of Turnitin, a major plagiarism deterrent system, with two workshops in January.
“Turnitin.com is a database which compares submitted papers to millions of pages of Internet content and tens of thousands of previously submitted papers and materials on proprietary databases and reveals improperly duplicated material,” said Ann Holder, NGL director of library services. “Turnitin.com is the foremost anti-plagiarism tool available to educators.”
The session will be held on Wednesday (Jan. 18) at 2 p.m. and again on Jan. 26 at 2 p.m.
Both workshops will be held in NGL Room 157.
