Freshmen take seniors to prom

Most seniors look forward to their senior prom. Some of the things that make the night memorable include the dress, date and dinner.

Freshman Project put on their 4th annual Senior Prom for the residents of the Green Acres of Huntsville Nursing Home on Tuesday March 21.

” [The residents] enjoyed it. They appreciated it, the music was good, the food was good, they had a lot of fun,” said Administrator for Green Acres Bill Cornett.

This was the first time Freshman Project hosted the Prom at Green Acres. Kareeme Charles, the coordinator for Freshman Project, said that this year turned out excellent. “There was more activity and dancing.”

“We should do this more often, like every two months,” said Sam Waters, a resident at Green Acres.

Resident Ron Adams said, “Thank you for coming out and having fun. That’s what I’ve been wanting: to have fun.”

Freshman Project started five years ago and is open to all incoming freshmen. The Freshman Project will soon be hosting another dance in collaboration with College Bound at Huntsville High School.
