Education collects items for local CPS

The College of Education and James Mathis, a retired faculty member in the college, are sponsoring a drive for baby clothes and supplies through April 21.

The items for the drive, which will benefit Huntsville’s Child Protective Services, can be dropped off in boxes outside Teacher Education Center Room 238 and Health and Kinesiology Center Room 208.

The area CPS serves children zero months through 18 years of age.

New clothing and items that will fit a child are requested, and the most needed items include shoes, baby clothes, plus-sized clothing, jeans and diapers, of all sizes.

Toiletries, such as baby wipes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, ethnic hair-care products, deodorant, feminine hygiene products and lice shampoo and bedding spread, are also among the products requested.
