The Sam Houston State University soccer team will complete its 2006 schedule with a pair of matches against teams tied for first place in the Southland Conference race this weekend.
The Bearkats meet Texas-San Antonio at 7 p.m. Friday, then play Southeastern Louisiana Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Roadrunners and the Lions are tied for first place in the league, each with four victories and two ties for 14 standings points.
Sam Houston State has been eliminated from playoff contention. The Bearkats own a 1-5 Southland mark and a 3-13 season record.
Seven seniors will be honored Friday night prior to the start of the match.
Six of those seniors — Jillian Eaker, Candee Hoggatt, Chelsea Janke, Danielle Porth, Melissa Sauceda, and Ashley Zendt — are four-year letter winners who have been part of the Bearkat program since the first practice in 2003. Kirsten Gurney is a two-year letter winner who also will be completing her Bearkat career.
