Men’s golf finishes runner-up at tourny

KERRVILLE, TX — Robert Gwin fired an eight-under 54-hole score of 68-70-70–208 to tie for individual medalist honors and lead the Sam Houston State men’s golf team to a runner-up finish at the Texas-San Antonio Invitational held at Commanche Trace Golf Club.

Gwin tied with Peter O’Keeffe of Southeastern Louisiana and Keegan Bradley of Saint John’s for the individual title. Other Sam Houston State scores were Fergal Rafferty 14th 218, Scooter Jefferson 23rd 220, Chris Carson 34th 223, and Brandon Frankhouser 59th 246.

Southeastern Louisiana won the team championship with a 54-hole total of 846. The Bearkats were second at 855.
