“Jobs 4 Kats” gives students opportunity

On-campus interviewing is a wonderful opportunity to find internships and full-time employment.

We have corporate employers willing to interview you right here on campus at Career Services (919 Bearkat Blvd.). To view a list of the employers coming on campus, log onto your “Jobs 4 Kats” account, see On-Campus Interviewing (on the orange tool bar), click on Qualified Schedules and a list of the participating companies will be provided.

You will want to check this site frequently as new employers continue to sign up for On-campus Interviewing. Uploading your resume onto your “Jobs 4 Kats” account will allow you to submit your resume to employers so that they can review your qualifications.

Be sure to update your “Jobs 4 Kats” account with new and changing information each semester to include your classification, grade point averages, address, and contact numbers.

The On-Campus Interviewing site will provide you with information such as the hiring employer, job title, job location and the date interviews will be conducted. It will also provide application instructions. A Pre-Select schedule means you must submit your resume during the scheduled times using “Jobs 4 Kats.” Once the company has reviewed your resume, you will be notified via email on the status.

If you are accepted for an interview, return to your “Jobs 4 Kats” account to sign up for your preferred time.

We encourage you to take advantage of the many services offered by Career Services such as career testing, mock interviews, resume critiques, career counseling, workshops to dress for success and of course our Career Library, which offers many resources to help you with your job search.

These services have helped many students throughout campus find their future employer. If you need assistance creating or using your “Jobs 4 Kats” account and you would like to make an appointment, contact us at (936) 294-1713.

E-mail us at Careerservices@shsu.edu or come by our office during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
