Anticipation is in the air, as students and residents alike look forward to the third round of Huntsville’s most intense musical competition that will take place this Saturday evening at the Old Town Theatre on 12th Street. The first annual Battle of the Bands hosted by Huntsville On Stage and the city’s own local TV 78 drew exhilarated crowds for the first two rounds of competition, and only five bands remain to compete for the winning title. Almost as impressive as the diverse performances are the prices. With a student identification card, fans can score $5 tickets in the mall area on campus throughout today and tomorrow, or at the box office window of the Old Town Theatre prior to the show. Regular admission without a student identification card is $10. All are invited to attend this weekend’s show of Battle of the Bands, which will continue throughout the rest of the month. The doors of the Old Town Theatre on 12th Street will open at 5:30 p.m., an hour before the show for what is sure to be another awe-inspiring performance.
