A female student reported on Wednesday that she was kidnapped from outside of her residence at Estill Hall and was assaulted at an off-campus location.
According to University Police chief Kevin Morris, an investigation is being conducted with the local Texas Rangers and more details will be revealed once more information is available.
“At this point, I can’t release more for investigative purposes,” Morris said.
Though on-campus incidents of this nature aren’t unheard of, this is the first time in recent history that a student has been abducted from campus and assaulted, Morris said.
