Bearkats are encouraged to opt for green rather than orange for a change. The Office of Multicultural and International Student Affairs, MISS, is hosting the “Go Green” event this Wednesday.
Tables will be set up in the Mall Area and in front of the Lee Drain Building from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in hopes of persuading students to be more conscious of the environment and recycling opportunities. There will be representatives from the Huntsville Recycling Center and Sustained Living, a Houston-based non-profit organization that promotes environmental education and recycling programs. There will also be recycling bins available so that students can actively participate in eco-friendly practices. Information on recyclable items will be available.
