In an effort to keep students from engaging in reckless behaviors such as drinking and drug use, the SHSU Alcohol and Drug Abuse Initiative (ADAI), along with Residence Life, will sponsor Clubtini on Thursday, Feb. 12. This is meant to be a fun, alcohol free alternative to the common Thursday night party.
The goal of the event is to educate students about drug and alcohol abuse while simultaneously “[letting] them have a good time in a safe environment,” Kim Baetchel, assistant director of Student Development, said.
As part of the Clubtini event, there will be a disco and an arcade, as well as giveaways, dancing, and a live DJ.
This event will take place on Thursday night from 7pm to 10pm in White Hall and is open only to SHSU students.
