Do you enjoy playing pool, Texas Hold ’em, or dominos? Do you like competing against other students? Come by the Kat Klub in the Lowman Student Center to participate in these activities and compete against other students, free of charge.
“We are offering Texas Hold ’em, dominos, and 9-ball in March,” said Gary Roark, the LSC Kat Klub manager. “Anyone at all can join. Students, and even faculty and staff can take part in the tournaments.”
The Texas Hold ’em tournament will start March 4, the 9-ball tournament will be on March 24, and the dominos tournament will be on March 30.
Chris Porter, a student who has participated in the Texas Hold ’em tournaments, encourages students to take part in these fun opportunities.
“It was fun, and there was a lot of competition,” Porter said.
It is completely free to join the tournaments for all students and faculty members. Simply stop by the Kat Klub in the LSC.
“I usually keep a clipboard out for students to sign up in the Kat Klub,” said Roark.
Students who are not feeling competitive can also stop by and play these games on their own. The Kat Klub is open all week, including weekends.
If you are interested in joining a tournament, or just want more information, call the Kat Klub office at 936-294-1722.
