The Sam Houston Memorial Museum will begin a film series on Thursday, September 3 meant to celebrate Texas with a showing of “The Alamo” at 7 p.m. in the Walker Education Center Auditorium.
All of the movies will either be made in Texas, have a plotline centered around the state, or have a native as the director or a main actor with many genres begin represented.
Other showings in September showings will include “Bridget Jones’s Diary” on September 10, “Viva Max” on September 17, and “Happy, Texas” on September 24.
Admission is free for all Texas Thursday films, but seating is limited in the Education Center Auditorium to 150.
