It is time to get ready for the Kick-Off Party. Career Services will host their annual Kick-Off Party for the Career Expo at the LSC Mall area from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16.
Paige Andrews, Career Services Job Fair and Special Events Coordinator, said the party will be held to promote Career Services and get people ready for their upcoming and biggest job fair of the year, which will be held on Sept. 23.
At the party there will be a chance to swipe your Bearkat One Card to win great prizes.
Andrews said they will be “telling everyone about Career Services, the job fair, and workshops.”
Career Services holds different types of workshops to get students ready for interviews and jobs. Two workshops will be held after the party and before the job fair.
One workshop “Effective Resume Writing” will be held on Sept. 17 from 12: 30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and again on Sept. 21 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Another workshop, “How to Work the Career Fair” will be held on Sept. 21 from noon to 1 p.m. More workshops will be held throughout the year.
At the party there will be opportunities to speak to employers who will be at the job fair.
