This parody of Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop” is just as catchy as the original and you can’t help but smile as these adorable dogs strut their stuff across the screen. With lines like they’re “so happy because [they] just got adopted” this video promotes getting dogs from a shelter as opposed to a pet store. Just like Macklemore’s song why would you want to spend $50 on some designer duds when you can get one that’s even better at a thrift store for a dollar! Similarly, why would you get a “designer” dog from a pet store when there are countless dogs that are homeless in shelters? The parody is not nearly as popular as the original, but that doesn’t make the message any less effective. The happiness on these dogs’ faces is so much cooler than some zebra print pajamas.
