Fatal stabbing at Spring High School

One student died and three others were wounded from an alleged knife attack by a fellow student Wednesday at Spring High School in a suburb north of Houston, Texas.

Seventeen-year-old Joshua Broussard died on the scene and three other injuries were reported. The student suspected of the alleged stabbing, 17-year-old Luis Alfaro, is now charged with murder, according to ABC.

School violence is a problem that isn’t going away. Before there was simply physical fights, but now there are guns and knives. We can’t ignore the problem, come up with protocols that don’t work or think that it can’t happen to us. As students, parents and educators, what can we do to lessen the possibility of this happening over and over?
