Former reality star Jon Gosselin can definitely relate to the term “From Prada to Nada.” He went from having a successful reality show with ex-wife Kate, “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” to his new profession, a waiter.
It’s been years since his show that brought in about 10 million viewers ran, which ultimately led to a nasty divorce ending its run on TLC.
He was on the limelight for a while, usually over a cheating scandal, not giving him a good name in the eyes of the public. Thankfully, he was able to get his act together and is enjoying his new humble job.
“I don’t regret anything. You learn from your mistakes. That’s what builds you to who you are today,” Gosselin said.
Entertainment Tonight asked if it was hard to find a job these days, in which Gosselin answers “next to nearly impossible.” That can explain why he is content with his new job as a waiter at the local restaurant in Pennsylvania, The Black Dog.
Although he was hesitant at first and anxious on how the job will turn out, he is perfectly okay with it.
“At first I was nervous because I was like, ‘How are people going to react?” He wondered, but then realized that, “‘it’s fun and I get to talk to people.’ And they technically already know me à they’re like ‘Are you the guy?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’m the guy.'”
The father of eight lives in a cabin in the woods with no television, no internet, and ultimately no regrets.
“I’ve hit rock bottom like 20 times and I just bounce back and go somewhere else,” Gosselin said.
We’re glad he finally got his act together! It was about time, after all, he is 36-years-old and does have EIGHT children, good going Jon!
