Jerry Rice vs. Deion Sanders offers new format to Pro Bowl 2014

With the new draft-style format, people were very curious to see how this year’s Prow Bowl would play out.

Legends Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders decided that they would flip the script. There was no more AFC vs NFC — more like Team Rice vs. Team Sanders. With the draft-style selections, this allowed AFC and NFC teams on one team.

Talk about an exciting football game. With Team Rice trailing 21-14 in the final minute, running back DeMarco Murray caught a 20-yard pass from Alex Smith to pull within a point. Instead of going for a routine PAT (point after touchdown) kick that would have tied the game, Team Rice attempted a two-point conversion for the go-ahead score and were successful when Mike Tolbert’s short run took him into the end zone, according to an article an yahoo news.

Team Sanders was not done, however, as quarterback Nick Foles drove his team down field to set up a Justin Tucker 67-yard field goal that missed and ended the contest.

The latest edition of the Pro Bowl was a departure from the offensive shoot outs of the past. Sunday’s game included eight turnovers, six of them interceptions, and nine sacks.

Overall the new format was a success. This new style made the game a lot more interesting, more fun for the fans to watch and the players to play.

Who will be the legends next year to host the game? Could it be Joe Montana vs. Steve Young, Dan Marino vs John Elway, or maybe Emmitt Smith vs Barry Sanders?
