Sunday was the 56th annual Grammy Awards. As to be expected, there were show-stopping performances along with the numerous awards given out at this night surrounded by music. But, of course, the night is not only about the music but the fashion on the red carpet as well. According to MTV News,
Ladies looked stunning this year rocking gowns in gold, nude, white and reflective garments making lighter tones a big trend of the night.
The trend of the neutral and lighter colors within the women’s Grammy fashion was a nice transition as it gets into the warmer months with spring and summer fashion coming soon. Paris Hilton, Taylor Swift, Chrissy Teigen, and Katy Perry were some who flaunted the neutrals on the red carpet.
Some of entertainment’s top fashion dare devils did not show up for the red carpet before the show. Elizabeth Holmes, writer for The Wall Street Journal’s arts and entertainment section said she waited for Beyonce’s arrival in hopes of her being one of the best dressed on the red carpet.
Sadly, she never came. Ditto for Rihanna, Miley and even Nicki.
Beyonce was probably preparing for her and Jay Z’s Grammy performance, but as for the others, we will have to wait patiently until the next red carpet show down.
