Rapper DMX was set to fight George Zimmerman in a celebrity boxing match, TMZ reported Tuesday, but it appears as though there has been a change of heart from the promoter.
The news received a lot of attention from people who were outraged and confused by the inclusion of Zimmerman, who killed Treyvon Martin but was acquitted of charges.
Well it seems as though Damon Feldman, the boxing promoter who scheduled the event, has decided he may cancel it.
NJ News.com reports:
“All you people are right,” tweeted Feldman, who later added, “I want to thank everyone for the good (and) bad comments. I’ve made the choice to cancel the fight (with) George Zimmerman. More to life (than) money.”
That tweet has since been deleted, but Feldman later took to Twitter again to announce that he would make his final decision at a press conference Tuesday.
