“X Factor” cancels after three seasons

Fox and X Factor USA’s production companies announced Friday that Fox is cancelling the show after three seasons. The singing competition will not be returning in the fall, according to foxnews.com

Cowell’s first intention of producing the show was to create a successful winner like past American idol champions. That was not the case with the X Factor USA because it has consistently dropped in ratings, and has not had one successful winner in all three seasons.

Fox and the show’s production companies made the right decision to finally pull the plug.
