Hugh Jackman will host the 68th annual Tony Awards

Hugh Jackman will host the 68th annual Tony Awards June 8 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, the actor announced Tuesday.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jackman posted a tweet announcing his return as the host

Couldn’t wait another minute… @TheTonyAwards @cbs_ #4thTime #Broadway #TheTonyAwards.

According to the Mail Online, Jack Sussman from CBS Entertainment praised Jackman’s versatility:

We are thrilled to have Hugh Jackman return to host the Tony Awards. Hugh is the ultimate performer û actor, singer and dancer û he does it all, second to none. He is a consummate entertainer and the one you want out there hosting your live television event.

Jackman is best known for being the Wolverine in “The X-Men” series. He had lead roles in “Kate & Leopold,” “Van Helsing,” “The Prestige,” “Australia,” “Real Steel,” “Les Mis?rables,” and “Prisoners.”

He starred in Broadway productions like “The Boy From Oz” and the play “A Steady Rain.”
