Sophomore Dylan Ebbs is no longer on the Sam Houston State baseball team, according to head coach Matt Deggs. In a phone interview, Deggs described Ebbs’ departure from the team as an “internal matter.” Ebbs threw two innings and allowed an unearned run in his final outing last Tuesday in SHSU’s 8-5 victory over Northwestern State. Ebbs was 3-1 in the season with a 4.17 ERA in seven starts and three relief appearances for the Bearkats. Ebbs was also hitting .314 for the Kats, the fourth highest batting average on the team.
