Offense- B
Sam Houston State Bearkats offense came out with momentum despite being the underdog in the game versus Texas Tech Red Raiders.
The offense had a total of 671 yards. Quarterback Jared Johnson went 18 for 28 with a total of 144 passing yards, 80 coming from the ground.
Freshman wideout, Davion Davis, had a monster game with 12 catches and 103 yards.
Also, backup quarterback Jeremi Briscoe had a good game off the bench with 178 total passing yards.
Running back Donavan Williams ran for a solid 99 yards. Next game, the Kats’ offense is looking to have a more balanced attack and a control on turnovers.
Defense-C
The Red Raiders surpassed the Bearkats’ defense, tacking on 437 total yards.
Linebacker Tristan Eche had a solid game with a total of 8 tackles.
Safety, Alfonso McMillian, had the only interception of the game. Next game, the Kats will be looking to play off the pass more efficiently.
