Food truck to provide produce to Huntsville

As the new semester is easing in on us, organizations are working together to help students and residents receive fresh produce throughout Huntsville.
The Huntsville Junior Service League is a volunteer based organization that supports local charities around the Huntsville area. They also host several of their own events to fill needs in the community.
HJSL coordinates with the Houston Food Bank to bring a food truck four to five times a year to help out struggling families, students, or those who lack regular transportation to a grocery store.
February 6 a food truck will stop at the Huntsville Church of Christ to provide for Huntsville residents.
“We typically serve over 600 people,” volunteer Amy McCormick said.
HJSL will start the event at 9 a.m.
Everyone who is interested in coming must bring a valid ID and a bag or box to put the produce in. For Sam Houston students, a SAM ID is acceptable.
