Niantic developers on Pokémon mobile game

The Pokémon Company International and Niantic have shared more information about Pokémon Go last week in a blog post posted on the developer’s website.

Pokémon fans will be delighted to hear that Go is set to release later this year through the App Store and Google Play store.

Players are encouraged to venture out into the real world to discover many types of Pokémon to capture.

Different types of Pokémon will appear in various places, which all depends upon where players decide to look for them. For example, Water-type Pokémon can be found near big bodies of water such as lakes and oceans.

The objective of Pokémon Go is simply to capture Pokémon wherever the player goes.

Player’s phones will vibrate once a Pokémon is nearby to let the player to capture that Pokémon through the use of the touch screen on the user’s phone and throwing a Poke Ball.

Poke Balls and other items that can be used in app can be obtained at PokéStops, which will be located at landmarks in the player’s town. Any items that will be for sale through micro transactions and the price for them is unknown at this time.

Through progression on the game and the more Pokémon are captured, Trainer levels can increase. As the player reaches a higher Trainer level, more powerful Pokémon and the ability to access certain items will be unlocked. An achievement/trophy medal system will be included in Pokémon Go by the completion of certain challenges.

Pokémon Go Plus will be available upon release of Pokémon Go. Pokémon Go Plus is an accessory that can either go on the wrist, belt or pocket.

The device uses Bluetooth technology with smart phones. The Pokémon Go Plus is used as an alert system so players won’t have to walk around with their smartphones in hand.

The little device, made to look like a Poke Ball, will light up and vibrate once the player has encountered a Pokémon. With a simple press of a single button on the device, users will be able to capture the Pokémon.

At this time, it is unknown how much Plus will cost or the release date.

Pokémon Go Plus looks to be an optional purchase as Nintendo confirmed in an interview with The Verge that the device is made so players will not have to spend all of their time looking at their phone screen and enjoy the adventure.

In Pokémon Go, players will be able to join one of three teams in order to see who comes out on top through Gym battles.

Once users have decided what team best suits their interest, one of the Pokémon will be assigned according to the player’s choice at an empty Gym. Gyms will be located at specific location in the real world while only one Pokémon per player will be allowed to join the Gym.

Teams will need to work together to outperform other teams with strong Pokémon as they try to claim a Gym.

Attempts to gain stronger Pokémon can be achieved as users capture a certain amount of that particular Pokémon. Once the player has reached a certain number of captures on a Pokémon, it will be able to evolve into its stronger form.

Even though an official release date is not set at the time, it is known that the Pokémon Go is now in its testing phase.

Niantic has allowed Japan citizens to sign up for the Pokémon Go Beta earlier this month. Niantic has now officially released the beta to Pokémon Go in Japan and will start this week on Monday, learned through a Twitter update on their profile.

The Pokémon Go Beta will not be available anywhere else in the world. It seems that Niantic and Nintendo will look to test game mechanics and how the system will work before the release of an official build out into the real world.

All that Pokémon trainers can do now is wait patiently as more informatio
