Halloween is just hours away and some people are still looking for activities to celebrate the spooky season. Due to COVID-19, many traditional events have been canceled, but there are still some Halloween activities in the Huntsville area.
Storybook Stroll, It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!
Huntsville’s Main Street office created a walk-a-long story book of Charlie Brown inside of the square. The community is welcome to stroll through the story while enjoying the fresh autumn air this Halloween weekend. The pages start on 1203 University Ave. and end at 1115 University Ave.
Trail of Terror
The frightening walk will be held on Friday and Saturday from 7-10 p.m. at 313 FM 3478 north of TDCJ’s Estelle Unit. The event, created by A-1 Smith’s Septic Services & Portable Toilets, helps benefit the local community by raising funds for Meals on Wheels. Trail of Terror takes about 20 to 30 minutes to complete for all ages and tickets cost $5 per visitor.
It’s Scary in the Prairie
Crabb’s Prairie Volunteer Fire Department welcomes families to come trick-or-treat and meet some firefighters at their station from 6-8 p.m. Station 41 is located at 28 FM 1696 W. near Barneys Country Store. The night will include candy, games, a Touch-a-Truck, hay rides and more.
Shenanigans & Confetti’s Beach Club Halloween Costume Contest
The doors open at 8 p.m. on Halloween until 2 a.m. This event is only for those ages 18 and up. The bar will have $1 well/draft drinks for sale till 11 p.m. for ages 21 and up to enjoy. The winner for best costume of the night will get a $3,000 cash prize. Shenanigans is located at 1548 11th St. near HEB.
