Emmy Award winning trio The Texas Tenors performed at Huntsville’s Old Town Theatre on Monday, Dec. 4, 2022.
Huntsville met them with sold out tickets for the show in their Deep In the Heart of Christmas tour. The concert was part of the, “7 shows in 5 days,” leg of their holiday tour and started at 4 pm.
It included a variety of songs ranging from “Joy to the World,” and “O Holy Night” to “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” by The Righteous Brothers to their original “Bootdaddy,” with many others included, according to the group’s website.
“Grab the whole family and make some new and lasting Christmas memories with The Texas Tenors,” it said.
The tour continues with one show on Dec. 5, 2022 and two on Dec. 6, 2022 in Grapeland, TX at The Palace Arts Center.
Its members come from different musical backgrounds. “The Romantic Tenor,” JC Fisher is a country singer, “The Tenor” John Hagen is an opera singer and “The Contemporary Tenor” Marcus Collins is a classical singer.
Together, the trio produces music in multiple genres such as Classical Crossover, Country, Classical, Adult Contemporary, Pop, Holiday and Americana.
The Tenors earned 4th place when they made their appearance on NBC’s America’s Got Talent in 2009. They went on to earn their spots as the show’s third highest selling artist and most successful touring group, according to an article listed on their website.
In 2019, Billboard Magazine awarded the Texas Tenors with tenth place in their top Classical Artist in the World list.
The group’s “You Should Dream” special on PBS won three Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards in 2014.
They have released 14 albums between the years 2011 and 2021 and performed over 14 hundred shows together in the last ten years, according to their site.
