It’s almost time for the 2022 Fall semester to end and the 2023 Spring semester to begin at Sam Houston State University. This also means that students can look forward to a new season of Bearkat baseball. There is just under 90 days until the first Bearkat pitch is thrown.

The Bearkat Baseball team will begin their action-packed season by participating in the Karbach Classic. The Karbach Classic is a weekend-long tournament in which other college baseball teams will get a feel for the game before the season begins. The Bearkats will travel to Round Rock, Texas to play in Dell Diamond.

The team will be going up against the University of Iowa Hawkeyes, the Kansas State Wildcats, and the Louisiana State University Tigers. The team’s roster has a great balance of returning and new players, making it an interesting dynamic for the team’s strategy this season.
